Do I need completed plans before contacting you?

You can contact us during the early planning stages, while working with an architect or designer, or once your plans have been completed.
Early builder involvement can often be beneficial because construction methods, materials, performance requirements and budget considerations can be discussed during the design process.
What is a high-performance home?

We are happy to work with your existing architect, building designer and consultants.
Our aim is to create a collaborative working relationship that helps carry the design intent and project objectives through to construction.
Is a high-performance home the same as a Passive House?

Not necessarily.
Passive House is a defined building performance standard with specific requirements around areas including airtightness, energy use and thermal performance.
A high-performance home may incorporate many Passive House and building science principles without pursuing formal certification.
The appropriate approach depends on your goals, design, site and budget.
Can Passive House principles be used without certifying the home?

Principles such as improved insulation, airtight construction, high-performance glazing, minimising thermal bridges and considered ventilation can be incorporated into a project without pursuing formal Passive House certification.
